Welcome to the Office of the Assistant Principal

Dear Terrific Hoover Community, 

I am very excited to join the dedicated staff, students, and community at the Hoover Math & Science Academy for the 2011-2012 school year. The commitment of this unique school community is evident as I have been introduced to many of the specialized opportunities available at HMSA.

I began my educational career in District 54 as a Special Education itinerant teacher for students who were deaf or hard of hearing. After teaching for seven years, I became a district level Special Education administrator for 5 years. During these years I had the privilege of supporting schools and parents to optimize the educational experiences for students with special needs. For the past year I served as the Assistant Principal at Nerge and Blackwell Schools. It has been a joy to be back in a school building working directly with students, staff, and parents.

I have lived in Hoffman Estates for the past ten years and will reluctantly admit that I am a lifelong Cubs fan. I am actually a baseball fan in general, and have traveled to 28 of the 30 major league baseball stadiums. I enjoy traveling with family and friends and attending various theatrical events.
 
I am proud to be joining Hoover School as they embark on their exciting journey as the Math and Science Academy. I look forward to getting to know all of the outstanding students and parents.
