District 54 Education Foundation – Upcoming Support Opportunity
As we enter this season of gratitude and giving, the District 54 Education Foundation would like to thank everyone who has supported the Foundation this year by donating funds, sponsoring or volunteering at our golf outing or Septemberfest, participating in a dine and share or shop and share event, or serving on our board or a committee. We greatly appreciate you helping us make a difference in the lives of students.
The Foundation is partnering with Visions Photography Portrait Studio in Schaumburg on a fundraiser for the Foundation. Between Nov. 15 and Dec. 15, Visions will donate 25 percent of the cost of your portrait package to the D54 Foundation and also provide you with a 25 percent discount if you bring in the flyer or mention the Foundation. For additional information, click here to view the flyer.
Multicultural Parent Advisory Council
Would you like to volunteer or become more involved in your child’s school? Join us as we hear about the benefits of being part of a multicultural community from MPAC parents who have successfully gotten involved in PTA and their school community. They will also share strategies for helping yourself and others feel more comfortable volunteering in the schools.
We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, November 14th at 9:00 a.m. at the District 54 Rafferty Administration Center, 524 E. Schaumburg Road. Childcare is available for children ages 3-5. District 54 Cold Weather Response Plan
In order to help parents better prepare for the severe cold weather and snow we often get during winters in our community, I wanted to share with you the District 54 Severe Cold Weather Response Plan. Though District 54 makes every effort to keep our schools open and operational, circumstances beyond our control oftentimes dictate school closings.
