Principal’s Message

Hello Hoover Community,

Next week students will be in school on Monday and Tuesday.  There is no school on Wednesday, November 24th – Friday, November 26th.

Please note that there will be no TAP writing club or Elevate math club on Tuesday, November 23rd.

Thank you to all the families who have donated items to our Student Ambassador Fall Service Project! Together as a school, we have collected over 500 items that will be donated to the Schaumburg Food Pantry! If you have not had a chance to donate yet, the food drive will continue until Nov 30th!

District 54 News
Revised 2021-2022 School Calendar

The School Board approved a revised 2021-22 calendar to align with a new state law that moved the March 2022 election to June. Therefore, staff and students will attend school on March 15 and the last day of school will now be May 25 for students and May 26 for school personnel. May 26 through June 2 will serve as emergency days in the event district schools are closed.

COVID Dashboard
With suburban Cook County now in a level of high community transmission of COVID-19 (Cook County Department of Public Health), District 54 has decided to create COVID Dashboards on each school’s website to provide families and staff with a transparent summary of instances of COVID-19 reported to District 54. A positive case indicates that the student or staff member has tested positive for COVID-19. Please report cases of COVID-19 to our school so that we can initiate contact tracing. Parents/guardians of students identified as close contacts will be contacted directly to discuss next steps. District 54 will update these dashboards by 3 p.m. on Fridays when school is in session. Click here to access our dashboard.
