Your child’s daily attendance in virtual learning is vital to their continued academic success. Students who are absent miss a great deal of instruction. Regular, daily attendance is a key factor for school success and is required by law. Unnecessary absence from school may have a negative effect on a student’s attitude, work habits, and academic progress. Our priority is to work with our families to support their child’s consistent attendance in school. If families are struggling with supporting their child with attendance and work completion, please reach out to your child’s teacher, or contact us at 847-357-5800 for assistance. We understand that some students are struggling at this time, and we want to work as a team to ensure your child’s success.
If your child is not able to attend class, please continue to call the attendance line by 8:00 a.m. each day your child will be absent. Please make every effort to schedule vacations and medical appointments around the school calendar. Any student absences not reported will be marked as unexcused. The Parent Portal is available for attendance and tardies.
The Cook County Department of Public Health and CDC also require individuals to quarantine for 14 days after travel. Students in the in-person hybrid plan would need to attend school remotely during the quarantine period. Click on the links above for more details from those agencies.
