Hello Hoover Families,

 

We are excited to announce that next week in partnership with our PTA, Hoover will be holding Herbie’s Helping Hands which is a donation drive for our School District 54’s Food Pantry.  We will specifically be collecting new toiletry items for our pantries.  Most needed items are currently: 

 

 

Students can bring in these items to Hoover between November 17-November 21 to put in their donation boxes by their classrooms.  You can also use this Target Wish List or Amazon Wish List to have items shipped directly to the Hoover PTA.  Please see this flyer for more information. 

 

As a way to encourage our students and celebrate their generosity towards others, for every 100 items collected, students will earn 10 cans of silly string to spray at Mrs. Carey and Mrs. Henriksen during our PBIS assemblies on Friday, November 21st.  Students can choose to use their completed PBIS Stamp Cards to enter a drawing to be chosen as one of the silly string sprayers during the assembly.  We will also have a spirit week to celebrate our kindness and gratitude, more information to follow. 

 

Our District 54 pantries are in need of donations to help support families in our community. Every little bit helps to provide essential items to those who need it most. Let’s come together and help our neighbors!
