From February 9–23, our school will be hosting a Coin Drive in support of the American Heart Association’s Kids Heart Challenge. This optional fundraiser helps support heart health education and research that benefits children and families nationwide. During this time in Physical Education, students will be participating in jump rope activities, learning about the importance of having a healthy heart, staying active, and developing heart-healthy habits they can use every day.
Students who choose to participate may bring in coins or bills, which will be collected by their teacher and added to a grade level jar in the office. The grade level that collects the most will earn a game of choice in PE. Participation is completely optional, and there is no expectation for students to donate.
