Office Hours
Our office is now open!  Mrs. Boeing and Mrs. Shoemaker are available to help you with anything you may need during the hours of 8:00-4:00.  If you need assistance please call 847-357-5800. 

Registration
If you need to finalize your child’s registration status, please contact the Hoover office at 847-357-5800 to speak with a Hoover secretary.   We are unable to finalize class placements without a complete registration.  

August 7 Classroom Assignments Available to Families
Student classroom assignments for Grades 1-6 will be available beginning on Wednesday, August 7.   Classroom assignments will be shared via the Parent Portal so make sure your account is up and running.  For additional support with logging in to the Parent Portal, contact the District 54 portal support desk at [email protected]. Support is available from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you leave a message, you will receive a response during those business hours.
 
The Hoover staff has worked diligently to place every child in an environment which best suits learning needs; therefore, placement change requests respectfully will not be honored.

School Hours
During the school year, school hours are 8:40 AM – 3:00 PM.  Please note, every Wednesday is early release for students as it is designated for staff development meetings.  Every Wednesday, starting with Wednesday, August 21st, students will be dismissed at 2:30 PM.

Lunch Periods
11:15 -12:00 – Kindergarten, 5th and 6th
12:15-1:00 – 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th
The lunch period consists of approximately 20 minutes of recess and 20 minutes to eat.  On half day in-service days there are no lunch periods since students are dismissed at 11:40am.  

Bus Passes
Families will be sent bus passes and pick up/drop off locations in early August.  Please contact our office if you have not received a bus pass by the morning of Wednesday, August 14th.
