We hope that you have all been enjoying the wonderful days of summer!  While there are still some days of summer left, we wanted to provide you with some information as you begin to prepare for the new school year that is approaching.  

If you are new to Hoover, we are excited to welcome you to our AMAZING community! Hoover Math and Science Academy is a very special place for students.  Our staff is dedicated to the success of the whole child and we have high expectations for ourselves and for our students.  We are looking forward to a terrific year together.

Upcoming Dates:

• August 7th – Student classroom assignments available on parent portal for Grades 1-6
• August 13th – Hoover Happening 5:00-6:30pm
• August 15th – First day of school for 1st-6th Graders
• August 15 & 16 Kindergarten Screening Appointments (kindergarten families will be notified of their appointment time by mail) 
• August 19th – Student classroom assignments available on the parent portal for Kindergarten
• August 20th – Grades 1st through 6th Curriculum Night 5:00-6:00
• August 20th – Kindergarten Supply Drop Off/Meet the Teacher 5:00-6:00
• August 22nd – First day of school for Kindergarten
• September 2nd – No School Labor Day
